Pigskins Nuggets 2015 NFL Preview: No 30 Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears were like a McMahon family dinner in December of last season, losing their final five games and failing to score even 18 points in all but one of them. Jay Cutler, the twenty million dollar man, was benched for Jimmy Clausen and Marc Trestman was lamer than a lame duck, he was a lame duckling. Everything unraveled for a team that, with the talent they boasted on paper, should not have been being embarrassed the way they were. So what does 2015 hold for a team that quit on their head coach and may have the most overrated and overpaid starting quarterback in the history of the league? That is why the Nugget Blog is here, my friends. DUN-DUN.

Pigskin Nuggets 2015 NFL Preview: No 31 Washington Redskins

Washington, only a few seasons removed from an exciting playoff run and a window to a promising future, is now in the middle of an identity crisis. They don't know what to do at quarterback, their head coach might be a tragic disappointment behind a name, and their defense might just be coming off one of the worst team defensive seasons in history. The Redskins need a game plan under center before they can ever move forward.

Pigskin Nuggets 2015 NFL Preview: No 32 Tennessee Titans

In Mariota we trust. Like, a lot. The Titans passed up multiple trade offers, reportedly, in order to get the quarterback of their future. Unfortunately, having a good, young quarterback isn't the only success factor for a winning team. Do the Titans have enough talent around Mariota to compete in a relatively weak AFC South?

Mad Men End of an Era Ep 1: Do I Know You?

When we last left Mad Men, Don was at rock bottom number seven or eight hundred, Roger was being a leader (or just trying to keep everything in life together for once), Joan was greedy, Pete was selfish, Peggy didn't blow Burger Chef, and we landed on the moon. Oh, and Bert Cooper died. But Don didn't get fired! ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR!

Letting the Air Out of Seattle

At the end of the day, regardless of our opinion on anything, the 2014 New England Patriots won Super Bowl XLIX and Tom Brady/Bill Belichik cemented themselves in the history of the league. What DeflateGate means on that legacy, whether or not Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time, Pete Carroll's blown call and where this Super Bowl ranks for me are all answered here! I also have an opinion on The Bachelor, just a head's up.

The 2014-15 NBA Preview

The NBA is back, ladies and gents. I'm about as amped as that twelve year-old on The Voice was when he met Taylor Swift. My 76ers might suck, but as I have said before, the NBA is the best and most entertaining overall league to enjoy as a fan. This year, I'm doing rankings based on who the contenders are all the way down to the the, well, 76ers. But, I'm going to do it based on Halloween movies, because, why not.

NFL 2014 Crystal Ball Picks- Week 8

Unfortunately, this week got away from me rather quickly. So, instead of indulging in my world class banter and expert analysis for each game, this week I will only be posting my picks. Check into the Heartbreak Hotel, fellow readers.

Week 8 NFL Power Rankings

There is a new touchdown champion and his name is Peyton Manning. And his Broncos are the best team in football.

NFL 2014 Crystal Ball Picks- Week 7

I got blood work done for the first time in my life today, so if I pass out at any point during writing this post and you don't know what to expect for this weekend, remember one thing. It is perfectly acceptable to begin listening to Christmas music starting....now.

Week 7 NFL Power Rankings

The Cowboys win again, the Ravens put up 48 points quicker than you can spell "elite", the Patriots seem to be back and pissed, and the Jaguars and Raiders still have as many wins as the best team in baseball did this postseason. Sorry for the dig, Mike Trout and company. Regardless, Stephen A. Smith had to wear a Cowboys jersey on First Take on Tuesday so you know it was a good week in the NFL.

NFL 2014 Crystal Ball Picks- Week 6

I recently decided to start rewatching Weeds, and I can't help but wonder if I jinxed Adrian Peterson or not.

Week 6 NFL Power Rankings

Five weeks in the books and already we have no undefeated teams remaining. Parity is rampant in the NFL these days, as even the most talented teams in the league already have blemishes in their records. Remember when the Patriots won every single game in 2007, but lost in the Super Bowl to the wild card Giants? That sure was funny!

NFL 2014 Crystal Ball Picks- Week 5

The NBA is coming back and the baseball playoffs are officially underway, but we're talking football at the Nugget Blog! Is Tom Brady washed up? Are the Ravens and Cowboys for real? Can the Bengals and Cardinals remain undefeated? And is anyone going to win the NFC South or can we just eliminate them already? Happy October y'all!

Week 5 NFL Power Rankings

My top four teams were all on bye this past week, so it will be much of the same at the top. So crank open your favorite bottle of Drew Bledsoe's wine and sit back for the first week of the new quarter of our fresh NFL season.

NFL 2014 Crystal Ball Picks- Week 4

Don't kick yourself if you have a major surgery or an endangered spices to save this Sunday, because you ain't missing nothing but the most sleep-inducing slate of football games in the history of ever. And it starts in two days with Awkward White Boy QB vs Boring White Boy QB on Thursday night! Take your pick on whether or not thats my man Kirk or my homey Eli.

Week 4 NFL Power Rankings

Are the surprising 3-0 teams better than the "we knew they'd be there" 2-1 teams? Its hard to say. I'm just glad Chip Kelly isn't my boss. God forbid he made my do my job that I earn millions to do.

NFL 2014 Crystal Ball Picks- Week 3

The over/under for NFL players arrested, suspended, benched and/or deported for this week is 8.5, take the over.

Week 3 NFL Power Rankings

Am I tempted to rank the Ravens in the top spot? Damn right I am! The Ravens are back BAYBAY! Could this week be the week where Archie's little boys take the top and bottom spot? That sentence could be interpreted in a lot of different ways.

NFL 2014 Crystal Ball Picks- Week 2

If we learned anything from Week 1, its that we can't learn anything from Week 1. We also learned that Roger Goodell is an asshole.

Week 2 NFL Power Rankings

Week 1 got a black eye from the release of the Ray Rice video, but we can't ignore the football that was played. I already talked about Ray Rice and the league's response, so now its time to do our weekly rankings. Where did your team rise or fall after their first game?
